All of Lifeline’s personal attendants,(CNA’s, Home Health Aides, and caregivers) are registered with and approved by the State of California Home Care Aide Registry and are background cleared through the Department of Justice and FBI.  They are covered under Worker’s Compensation insurance and bonded.  All Lifeline caregivers receive yearly continuing education focused on best practice caregiving techniques and emotional and cognitive skills training.

Prior to employment, they must complete an extensive interview process that includes reference, criminal, and DMV background checks, as well as a skills test.

Our caregivers are dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled care professionals that are committed to helping seniors.  Many are trained in assisted living communities and rehab facilities and all with one-on-one experience working in a home environment with the elderly or disabled with many conditions that may include:

  • Dementia & Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Hip Fractures, Knee Replacement, and Rehabilitation
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (“COPD”)
  • Hearing/Visual Impairment
  • Hospice Support

Companionship to Seniors

Aging adults need fewer calories overall, but the calories they consume need to come from nutrient-rich foods that are high in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, and vitamins D, C, and B12. Preparing meals together with a home care companion encourages good nutrition and is an activity that might otherwise be lost.
